Style
I teach a style that is all encompassing, accessible and non-dogmatic, inspired by Sivananda but essentially Hatha. My passion is creating classes that invite people to practice mindfully, with a sequence of poses that allow us to build strength and flexibility without stress and strain.
Whilst not specifically a beginner’s class there is no pressure to keep up; it’s non-competitive and friendly. I encourage self-awareness of where one’s body is 'at' on any given day. Some days you may feel up for exploring stronger movement within the asanas, other days you may need to take it slower - or something in between.
Each class begins with peaceful, grounding moments connecting to our bodies and our breath, followed by reviving movement and a final relaxation - all designed to restore, strengthen, energise and calm.
These classes will help rebalance the nervous system and reduce stress levels that can cause inflammation and illnesses, making it ideal for those with hectic lives; those in their perimenopause and menopause years; those recovering from pain and sickness; and those going through emotional stressors and transitions in their lives.
But most of all it’s for everyone and anyone who wants to feel lighter in spirit, relaxed, stretched, stronger and empowered.
